My favorite concept was the Five canons of rhetoric which are invention, style, arrangement, memory and delivery. I like this because it has withstood the test of time because speeches I believe are still written with those basic canons in mind. These canons make speeches more powerful and persuasive and also give them in order on how to prepare them. I know for me I write my speeches in that order even though I never really knew what it was called but it is the best process of doing so.
